Frequently asked questions

Common questions about OneBook Plus Finance.

Does OneBook Plus Finance replace my accountant?

It handles day-to-day bookkeeping, expense tracking, and BAS preparation automatically. Most small to medium businesses use it to stay organised and hand the export to their accountant at year end — significantly cutting their accounting bill.

How do I import bank transactions?

Log in to your online banking and export a CSV, OFX, or QFX file covering your desired date range. Upload it to OneBookPlus and transactions are imported and ready to categorise.

Is the BAS summary accurate enough to submit?

The summary calculates correctly based on your invoices and expenses. However, we recommend having your registered tax agent review it before lodging with the ATO, particularly for complex tax situations.

Can I track GST on both income and expenses?

Yes. OneBookPlus tracks GST collected on invoices (income) and GST paid on expenses separately. Your net GST position — what you owe or can claim — is calculated automatically.

What expense categories are available?

You get standard Australian business expense categories (advertising, motor vehicle, rent, utilities, wages, etc.) plus the ability to create custom categories specific to your business.
