Deleting your Facebook, Instagram and Threads data

Last updated:

What we hold

OneBookPlus (ABN 17 971 013 775) can post to a business's Facebook Page, Instagram account and Threads profile through our app on Meta, called OBP Connect. When a business connects one of those accounts in Content Autopilot, we keep only what we need to post what the business has approved and to show it how those posts are doing:

  • the access token Meta gives us for that connection, stored encrypted
  • the ID, name and picture of each Page or account the business chose, with its username on Instagram or Threads
  • a record of the posts we published for the business, with each post's ID and link, and how many reactions, comments and shares it has

We do not read private messages, friend lists, or posts by other people, and we never sell or share this data.

How to delete it

  1. Disconnect, or Delete what we hold, in Content Autopilot, Channels. Sign in to OneBookPlus, open Content Autopilot, then Channels, and find the Facebook, Instagram or Threads card. Disconnect deletes the access token for that account straight away and stops us posting there, and posts that were scheduled for it go back to waiting for your approval. Delete what we hold, under What we keep on the same card, also deletes the account's ID, name and picture, and the IDs and counts of the posts we published there. An owner or admin of the business can do either.
  2. Remove OBP Connect from your account. On Facebook, open Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Business integrations, and remove OBP Connect. On Instagram and Threads, open your settings, find the apps and websites connected to your account, and remove OBP Connect. This stops us posting straight away, and when Meta tells us you removed it, we disconnect that account.
  3. Ask us to delete what we hold. Email hello@onebookplus.com.au from the email address on your OneBookPlus account, with the subject "Delete my Facebook, Instagram and Threads data". We delete the access tokens, the account names and IDs, and our record of the posts within 30 days, and we email you when it is done.

Whichever you choose, posts already published on your Page or profiles stay there until you remove them yourself. You can delete a Facebook post we published from your post history in Content Autopilot, or on Facebook itself.

Closing your OneBookPlus account

Closing your OneBookPlus account deletes these connections along with the rest of your business data, as our Privacy Policy describes.
