Security & Two-Factor Authentication
Protect your OneBookPlus account with multi-factor authentication (MFA).
Why Use MFA?
MFA adds an extra layer of security beyond your password. Even if someone gets your login credentials, they can't access your account without the second factor.
Setting Up MFA
- Go to Settings → Security
- Click Set Up Two-Factor Authentication
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
- Enter the 6-digit code to verify
- Save your backup codes somewhere safe
When Is MFA Required?
- MFA is required when accessing ATO Tax Lodgement features (Australian Tax Office compliance)
- For other features, it's optional but recommended
Managing MFA
From the Security page:
- View your enrolled factors
- Remove an authenticator
- Reset your setup if you lose your device
**Tip:** Keep your backup codes in a secure location. If you lose your authenticator device, you'll need them to regain access.
