Integration · Rolling out
Take contactless card, Apple Pay, and digital-wallet payments straight on an iPhone in the OneBookPlus iOS app — no card reader, no terminal rental. Built on Stripe Terminal and currently rolling out, so it isn't switched on for every account yet.
Customers tap their card, phone, or watch directly on your iPhone. There's no dongle to buy, charge, or lose — the iPhone is the terminal.
Accepts contactless credit and debit cards plus Apple Pay and other digital wallets, the same way a countertop terminal would.
Taps are processed by Stripe on the same connected Stripe account that handles your online invoice payments, so in-person and online takings land in one place.
In-person Tap to Pay payments carry no OneBookPlus platform fee — you pay only Stripe's processing. This is published in our Terms of Service.
Tap to Pay on iPhone is live in the OneBookPlus iOS app for a limited set of accounts while we complete the public rollout. It is not yet generally available. If your account doesn't show the Tap to Pay option, contact us to ask about rollout timing.
Not yet. Tap to Pay on iPhone is currently rolling out in the OneBookPlus iOS app and isn't switched on for every account. If you want it for your business, contact us and we'll let you know where the rollout is up to for your account.
A recent iPhone running an up-to-date version of iOS (per Apple's Tap to Pay requirements), the OneBookPlus iOS app, and a connected Stripe account — the same one that powers online invoice payments.
OneBookPlus adds no platform fee on in-person Tap to Pay payments; you pay only Stripe's card-processing fees. By comparison, online card payments through invoice Pay Now links carry a platform fee of up to 2.5% — both are set out in our Terms of Service.
Payment data is handled by Apple's Tap to Pay on iPhone technology and processed by Stripe. Card details are never shown to, stored by, or passed through OneBookPlus.
Tap to Pay lives inside the OneBookPlus iOS app alongside invoicing, quotes, and bookings.
