Using the Job Pipeline
The Job Pipeline is a visual kanban board that shows all your jobs organised by status. Drag and drop jobs between columns to update their progress.
Accessing the Pipeline
- Go to Jobs from the sidebar
- Click the Pipeline tab at the top (next to List view)
Pipeline Columns
The pipeline has six columns, each representing a job status:
| Column | Description |
|--------|------------|
| New | Jobs that have been created but not started |
| In Progress | Jobs currently being worked on |
| On Hold | Jobs that are paused |
| Review | Work done, awaiting client review |
| Completed | Finished jobs |
| Cancelled | Jobs that were cancelled |
Moving Jobs
To update a job's status:
- Click and drag the job card to the desired column
- Release to drop it in place
- The status updates automatically
You can also update the status from the job detail page by clicking the status dropdown.
Filtering and Sorting
Use the filters at the top of the pipeline to focus on what matters:
- Assigned to — show only jobs assigned to a specific team member
- Priority — filter by Low, Medium, High, or Urgent
- Client — show jobs for a specific client
- Date range — filter by due date
Job Cards
Each job card on the pipeline shows:
- Job title — the short description
- Client name — who the job is for
- Due date — highlighted in red if overdue
- Priority badge — colour-coded by urgency
- Assigned avatar — the team member responsible
Best Practices
- Review the pipeline at the start of each day to plan your work
- Move jobs to Review as soon as work is complete to prompt client sign-off
- Use On Hold for jobs waiting on parts, materials, or client decisions
- Archive completed jobs monthly to keep the board clean
**Tip:** The pipeline is especially powerful for teams. Each member can filter to see only their jobs, while managers get the full picture.
