About this app
A buyer walks into a yard to inspect a used car, takes it to your workshop for a proper check, and you charge $220 to $400 for the work. This app turns that one-off into a productised service: a 76 item digital checklist across body and paint, mechanical, suspension and brakes, tyres and wheels, electrical, road test and history flags. Every item takes pass, concern, fail or not applicable, a note, and a link to a photo. The electrical section carries two OBD items, one for stored codes and one for pending codes and readiness monitors, which you record off your own scan tool. History flags include PPSR and NEVDIS prompts: you run the search, the result goes on the record. Where you have inspected the same model before, you can clone that inspection's item list onto a new one instead of rebuilding it, and the items land as pass with the notes and photos left behind, because those belong to the other car. The buyer gets a phone-friendly report on a share link carrying your workshop's name, logo and colour, with your overall summary and the negotiating points you wrote for them. Three pricing tiers ship (basic, standard, comprehensive). There is no PDF export yet, no paint thickness reading, and no place to attach a scan file.
How it works
- 1
Run the 76 item checklist: body and paint, mechanical, suspension and brakes, tyres and wheels, electrical, road test, history flags
- 2
Mark each item pass, concern, fail or not applicable, with a note and a photo link
- 3
Pick a pricing tier (basic / standard / comprehensive) so the inspection is a productised service, not an ad-hoc favour
- 4
Clone the item list from an inspection you already did instead of rebuilding it
- 5
Write the overall summary and the negotiating points for the buyer
- 6
Share the buyer report link, which they can open on a phone and take to the seller

About OneBookPlus apps
How Pre-Purchase Inspection Reports fits into the rest of OneBookPlus
Most OneBookPlus apps are not external integrations wired up between separate products. They are native modules installed inside the same platform you already use for invoicing, bookings, CRM, and accounting. That means Pre-Purchase Inspection Reports reads from and writes to the same customer records, financial entries, and calendar events as every other module, with no scheduled sync delays and no risk of data drift between systems.
Because the marketplace runs inside OneBookPlus, billing is consolidated. Pre-Purchase Inspection Reports appears as a single line on the same OneBookPlus invoice as your plan, so you don't end up reconciling separate vendor charges across three or four different SaaS subscriptions. Cancellation is one click and never reaches into your data. Uninstalling an app removes the feature from the UI but preserves the underlying customer, invoice, and booking records, so reinstalling later picks up exactly where you left off.
Every app in the marketplace is built specifically for the Australian small and medium business context: GST and ABN handling are first-class concerns, dates render as DD/MM/YYYY, currency defaults to AUD, and the underlying compliance plumbing (BAS summaries, ATO-friendly records, AHPRA / NDIS / Fair Work checkpoints where relevant) is shared across modules.
For a side-by-side of which features ship as core modules versus which require an installed app, see the features page. For pricing across plans and which apps are bundled at each tier, see the pricing page.
