Designers & Studios
Compare local designers & studios and book online in seconds.
Designers and design studios handle branding, logos, websites, packaging, signage, social media templates and print work for Australian businesses of every size. People book them when launching a business, refreshing a tired brand, building or overhauling a website, or preparing menus, uniforms and fit-out graphics for a new location. Some studios specialise narrowly; others cover the full brand toolkit.
OneBookPlus lets you compare designers and studios side by side, browse portfolios, read reviews from past clients and book a consultation online instantly. Instead of emailing five studios and waiting days for replies, you can shortlist by style, budget and turnaround, then lock in a discovery call that suits your calendar.

List your business, freeHow to choose a good Designer
- Design is unregulated in Australia, so the portfolio is your best evidence; look for real, launched work in your industry.
- Check reviews for communication and deadlines as much as creativity; missed launch dates cost more than a cheap logo saves.
- Confirm exactly what you will own; final files, fonts, source artwork and copyright assignment should be in the agreement.
- Ask how many revision rounds are included and what extra rounds cost, so quotes are comparable across studios.
- For websites, confirm who hosts, maintains and can edit the site afterwards, and that it is built mobile-first.
- Prefer fixed-price proposals with staged payments over open-ended hourly work for defined projects like a logo or brand package.

Frequently asked questions
Do designers need a licence or qualification in Australia?
No. Graphic, brand and web design are unregulated, and plenty of excellent designers are self-taught. That puts the weight on their portfolio, client reviews and a clear written agreement. Membership of the Design Institute of Australia signals professionalism but is entirely voluntary.
How much should a small business spend on branding?
A workable starter identity, meaning logo, colours, fonts and basic templates, typically costs $1,500 to $5,000 from a capable freelancer or small studio. Spending much less often buys template work you will replace within two years. Established businesses rebranding across signage, vehicles and packaging routinely invest $10,000 or more.
Who owns the design work once it is finished?
Under Australian copyright law the designer owns the work unless the agreement assigns it to you. Reputable studios transfer copyright of the final approved designs on full payment, sometimes keeping concept drafts. Get the assignment in writing and collect editable source files, not just PDFs and JPEGs.
