Publish your site and fix what stops it

Publishing puts the site on your OneBookPlus address. A few things will stop it, and each one tells you which.

Turn on your website

Switch on My Site, start the home page from the services, hours and contact details already in your account, and publish it to your free web address.

Steps and transcript

Your site is not visible to anyone until you publish it. Until then you are the only one who can see it.

Publishing it

Open the Website Studio and use Publish. The same button exists on the site settings screen and both do exactly the same checks, so it does not matter which one you use.

If it refuses

Publishing checks the site is actually ready first. The usual reason it stops is an empty site: a site with no pages or no content on them has nothing to show a visitor, so it will not go live. The screen tells you what is missing rather than failing silently.

Where it goes

A published site serves on your OneBookPlus web address straight away. Your own domain is a separate step, and it needs the site published before it will serve anything.

The footer credit

Every published site carries a small "Made with OneBookPlus" line in the footer. There is no plan that removes it and no setting that turns it off.
