About this app
Most workshops will not quote a price without seeing the car, so customers book the chain that publishes one. With this free app installed on an automotive business, your public booking page shows a Capped-price services menu above the form: a tile for every active, bookable service with a price, giving its name, a from-price, its description and length where it has them, and a Book this link that opens the form with that service chosen. A service with price options, such as vehicle size, starts from its cheapest option, and the customer picks their size on the form. Under the tiles sits a fixed line: from-prices are for standard passenger vehicles, the final price is subject to inspection, and large 4WDs, utes, EVs and European makes may cost more. The prices come from your services, so there is nothing else to set up. The menu appears on your main booking page once two or more services have a price, and not on a trades-style form or a packages-only page. Price options can be set on a service on the Plus plan and above. There are no separate menu prices per vehicle class, no inclusion or exclusion lists, no state or regional prices and no switch to hide the menu: remove the app to take it down.
How it works
- 1
Install the free app on your automotive business
- 2
Under Bookings, then Services, give each service you want on the menu a price, a description and a length, and keep it active and bookable
- 3
Your public booking page shows a tile per priced service, each with a from-price and a Book this link
- 4
The fixed subject-to-inspection line sits under the tiles, so the final price still follows the inspection
- 5
Remove the app to take the menu down; the booking form keeps working
Who it's for
- Workshops losing customers to Ultra Tune or MyCar because those publish a price
- Independents who want to show a starting price without committing to a fixed one
- Workshops that already price their services and want those prices seen before the phone rings
- Shops that price a service by vehicle size and want its smallest size shown as the from-price
Features included
- A Capped-price services menu above the form on your public booking page
- A tile per active, bookable service with a price above zero
- From-price per tile: the service price, or its cheapest price option
- Description and length on the tile, where the service has them
- A Book this link on each tile, opening the form with that service chosen
- A fixed line under the menu: from-prices for standard passenger vehicles, subject to inspection
- Shows once two or more services have a price
- Not in here: menu prices per vehicle class, inclusion lists, state prices or a hide switch
Capped-Price Service Menu vs A 'call for a quote' workshop
| With Capped-Price Service Menu | A 'call for a quote' workshop | |
|---|---|---|
| What the customer sees online | A from-price per service they can budget for | Nothing until they phone |
| Getting to a booking | Each tile opens the booking form with the service chosen | Phone call during business hours |
| Price flexibility | A from-price under a subject-to-inspection line, so the final price follows the inspection | Verbal quote, easily disputed |
| Why the customer chooses you | A price before they commit | They default to Ultra Tune or MyCar |

About OneBookPlus apps
How Capped-Price Service Menu fits into the rest of OneBookPlus
Most OneBookPlus apps are not external integrations wired up between separate products. They are native modules installed inside the same platform you already use for invoicing, bookings, CRM, and accounting. That means Capped-Price Service Menu reads from and writes to the same customer records, financial entries, and calendar events as every other module, with no scheduled sync delays and no risk of data drift between systems.
Because the marketplace runs inside OneBookPlus, billing is consolidated. Capped-Price Service Menu is included free with every plan, so installation just enables the feature in your dashboard. Cancellation is one click and never reaches into your data. Uninstalling an app removes the feature from the UI but preserves the underlying customer, invoice, and booking records, so reinstalling later picks up exactly where you left off.
Every app in the marketplace is built specifically for the Australian small and medium business context: GST and ABN handling are first-class concerns, dates render as DD/MM/YYYY, currency defaults to AUD, and the underlying compliance plumbing (BAS summaries, ATO-friendly records, AHPRA / NDIS / Fair Work checkpoints where relevant) is shared across modules.
For a side-by-side of which features ship as core modules versus which require an installed app, see the features page. For pricing across plans and which apps are bundled at each tier, see the pricing page.
