About this app

Trust but verify. GPS Verification gives home care providers evidence that carers arrived at the right address at the right time. When a carer starts or completes a visit in OneBookPlus, their device's position is captured with that tap, and the GPS Verification screen shows each visit's day, the distance between the carer and the client's address at both ends, and a link to the exact spot on a map. You set the geofence per client, anywhere from 25m to 5km, because a unit block and a rural property are not the same circle. A clock-in inside it reads as on site; one well outside it notifies your coordinators while the visit is still running. Readings are weighed against the phone's own accuracy figure, so a poor fix indoors is never treated as proof a carer was absent, and a visit with no reading at all is shown as exactly that rather than counted against anyone. Location is captured at two moments, arriving and leaving. There is no continuous tracking, no background location, and nothing follows a carer between visits.

How it works

   Set each client's geofence on their record, from a 100m townhouse to a 2km rural property

   The carer arrives and taps Start on the visit, and their position is recorded with it

   The distance to the client's address is worked out; well outside the geofence notifies your coordinators

   The carer taps Complete on the way out, and Care, GPS Verification shows the day's visits with both distances
