  • Phone view lists the day in start order for techs

About this app

Allocate work across your bays and hoists hour by hour. The day board draws every bay as a row and every booking as a bar, so you can see which bay is free and which job is running long, and a service advisor can read a pickup time off it instead of guessing. Booking a bay on top of an existing booking is refused when you save, and the message names the clash, so a hoist cannot end up double booked. A weekly grid shows utilisation per bay against an eight hour day, and a phone view lists the day in start order for a tech standing in the workshop. The board itself is read only: you add, edit and cancel through the form and the row buttons, and there is no dragging. Bookings are typed in here, with the bay, the times, the rego and the tech's name, and nothing outside these four pages reads a bay, so the quote screen and the booking widget do not know your capacity.

How it works

  1. 1

Set up your bays and hoists once, with a type and a lift capacity

  2. 2

Add a booking: the bay, the date, a start and end time, the rego and the tech

  3. 3

If that bay is already booked in that window the save is refused and names the clash

  4. 4

Mark bookings in progress or done from the board, or from the phone view in the workshop

  5. 5

Read the weekly grid to see which bays ran full and which sat idle

Who it's for

  • Workshops running three or more bays that need the day in one place
  • Front of house reading the board before promising a pickup time
  • Workshops that want the tech's name on every booking instead of in someone's head

Features included

  • Bays and hoists down the side, hours of the day across the top
  • Book a bay with a label, the rego, the tech's name and a start and end time
  • An overlapping booking on the same bay is refused at save, and the clash is named
  • Mark a booking in progress, done or cancelled from the board
  • Weekly utilisation grid per bay against an eight hour day
  • Phone view of the day in start order for techs
  • Not in here: dragging on the board, and bay capacity anywhere outside these pages

About OneBookPlus apps

How Workshop Bay Scheduler fits into the rest of OneBookPlus

Most OneBookPlus apps are not external integrations wired up between separate products. They are native modules installed inside the same platform you already use for invoicing, bookings, CRM, and accounting. That means Workshop Bay Scheduler reads from and writes to the same customer records, financial entries, and calendar events as every other module, with no scheduled sync delays and no risk of data drift between systems.

Because the marketplace runs inside OneBookPlus, billing is consolidated. Workshop Bay Scheduler appears as a single line on the same OneBookPlus invoice as your plan, so you don't end up reconciling separate vendor charges across three or four different SaaS subscriptions. Cancellation is one click and never reaches into your data. Uninstalling an app removes the feature from the UI but preserves the underlying customer, invoice, and booking records, so reinstalling later picks up exactly where you left off.

Every app in the marketplace is built specifically for the Australian small and medium business context: GST and ABN handling are first-class concerns, dates render as DD/MM/YYYY, currency defaults to AUD, and the underlying compliance plumbing (BAS summaries, ATO-friendly records, AHPRA / NDIS / Fair Work checkpoints where relevant) is shared across modules.

For a side-by-side of which features ship as core modules versus which require an installed app, see the features page. For pricing across plans and which apps are bundled at each tier, see the pricing page.
