Add seats for your team

How many people can use your account, what an extra seat costs, and why accountants and advisors do not use one up.

Every plan comes with a number of seats, and the billing page shows how many you have used against how many you have.

The free plan has one seat

That is the owner. If you want a second person in the account, you need a paid plan. There is no way around it, and the invite will not go anywhere until there is a seat for it.

Buying extra seats

Extra seats are a Growth option. On Growth you can buy logins beyond the ten the plan includes; the billing page shows the per-login price and adds bought logins to your allowance, so the meter and the limit always agree. Only the account owner can buy them. On Free, Starter and Plus there is no extra-login purchase: when you need more people than the plan includes, you move up a plan, which lifts the other limits with it.

Current plan and seat pricing is on the OneBookPlus pricing page.

What does not use a seat

External accountants and advisors you connect to your account do not consume a customer seat. Giving your bookkeeper access does not cost you a seat, which is the whole point of the accountant role.

Choosing the right role

Once the seat exists, the role decides what the person can reach. The accountant role in particular gives your bookkeeper the financial data without opening up client communications and bookings. See managing team roles and permissions.

Removing someone

Remove them from Settings, then Team. That frees the seat immediately. Their past work, such as invoices they raised, stays on the record.
