Connecting Your Bank Feed

How to Connect Your Bank
- Go to Settings from the sidebar

- Click Connect Bank Account
- Search for your bank in the list
- You'll be redirected to your bank's secure login page
- Sign in and authorise OneBookPlus to access your transaction data
- Select the accounts you want to import (e.g., business cheque, savings)
- Click Confirm
What Gets Imported
Once connected, OneBookPlus imports:
- Transaction date — when the transaction occurred
- Description — the merchant or payee name
- Amount — debit or credit
- Running balance — your account balance after each transaction
Transactions are imported daily, typically appearing within 24 hours of clearing your bank.
Categorising Transactions
Imported transactions need to be categorised as income or expenses:
- Go to Bank Transactions from the sidebar
- Review each transaction
- Assign a category (e.g., Office Supplies, Software, Revenue)
- Match transactions to existing invoices or expenses where applicable
If you have AI features enabled, the AI assistant will suggest categories automatically.
Security
Bank feed connections are secured by Basiq, a regulated open banking provider:
- OneBookPlus never stores your bank login credentials
- Connections use bank-grade encryption
- You can disconnect at any time from Settings → Bank Feeds
**Tip:** Connect your primary business account first. You can always add additional accounts later. The more transactions the AI sees, the better it gets at automatic categorisation.
