A client who pays you and then claims it back from their health fund needs two
things on the receipt you give them. Both are settings rather than anything you
type per invoice.
Your provider number
Go to Settings, then your business details, and fill in Provider Number. It
prints on every invoice and quote beside your ABN.
It is stored with each document as it is issued, so correcting it later never
changes an invoice a client has already lodged with their fund.
Item codes on each line
Go to Settings, then Custom fields, and add a column for invoices called
Item code. It then appears on every invoice line, you type the code against the
line it belongs to, and it prints on what the client takes away.
Use a column rather than typing the code into the description if you want it to sit
in its own place on the page, which is what most funds expect.
What this does not do
It does not lodge anything for the client. It puts the numbers on the document so
that they can.
