Service Due is the workshop's call list. It is free, it sits under Vehicles in the sidebar, and on a phone it gets its own slot in the bottom bar because it is the screen a workshop opens most.
What is on it
Every active vehicle that is past its interval or close to it, worked out from the last logged service against your default interval, or against a per-vehicle override where you set one. Overdue cars sort to the top.
Three filters: All, Overdue, Due soon. Counts for overdue and due soon sit above the list, and they do not move when you switch filters, so you always see the whole picture.
The list also tells you how many of these owners you can actually reach by email, and how many have been reminded recently and are therefore throttled.
Export CSV downloads the list as it is currently filtered. That is the file you print for the person doing the ring-arounds.
Acting on a row
- Send reminder now emails that one owner immediately, without waiting for the overnight run. It stamps the vehicle as reminded, so the automatic run does not send a second one the next morning.
- Tick several rows and use Send reminders to do a batch.
- Snooze 7d or Snooze 30d, on one row or a batch, takes a car off the list for that long. Use it for the customer who has told you they are away, or the car you know is off the road.
If an owner has no email address, Send reminder now refuses and says so. Add the email on the contact and try again.
What happens automatically
Once a day, we email the owners of vehicles that are coming due or recently overdue.
- By email only. Service reminders do not send an SMS. Only registration reminders do that, see rego renewal reminders.
- When: within 14 days of the interval date, or within 500 km of the interval distance, or up to 30 days past due.
- How often: at most one per vehicle per 7 days.
- Who is eligible: an active vehicle whose owner contact has an email address.
- The reply-to on the email is your workshop email, so a customer who just replies reaches you.
The Monday call list
Once a week we also email the workshop itself a "ring these customers" list of vehicles that are due. If nothing is due, nothing is sent, so a quiet week is silent rather than an empty email.
Checking one actually went

A note on the app listing
There is a Logbook Servicing listing in the App Marketplace at 19 dollars a month. The service-due list and the automatic reminders described here already run for every automotive account. Installing that listing does not currently switch anything on that you do not already have.
