"Did Sandra get her rego reminder?" has an answer you can look up yourself. Open Vehicles, then Reminders.
The feed is free and shows only your own business's messages.
What is on it
Counters across the top for emails sent, texts sent, and how many were opened and clicked. Then the detail, most recent first, up to the last 100 of each.
Every row is tagged with what kind of message it was:
- Rego, a registration renewal reminder
- Service, a service-due reminder
- PPI report, a pre-purchase inspection report link
- Roadworthy, a certificate expiry chase
- Loaner late, a text to a customer past their loan-car return time
Reading the statuses
- Sent means we handed it to the mail or SMS provider and it was accepted.
- Failed means it was refused. The reason is on the row.
- Opened and clicked counts appear for email. Treat them as a signal, not proof: plenty of mail apps block the pixel that records an open, so a message read on a phone can still show zero opens.
- A bounce is recorded against the row. A hard bounce means the address does not exist. Fix it on the contact.
The feed also shows bookings that came in after a reminder, so you can see which chases turned into work.
Common failures and what to do
- No email address on the contact. Nothing is sent and nothing appears in the feed. The service due list tells you how many owners on it are reachable, which is the fastest way to spot the gap.
- A landline in the mobile field. The text is refused. Move the number to the phone field and put a mobile in.
- A bounced address. Correct it on the contact. The next run will use the new one.
- Nothing in the feed at all. Either no vehicle has met a reminder condition yet, or no owner contact has an email address. Check a specific vehicle's dates on its record.
What the feed is not
It records what we sent on your behalf. Messages you send yourself from your own phone or your own mail account do not appear here.
